Palmetto has always been a city where finding a decent hotel was a struggle. However, a new Marriott has recently been constructed in Palmetto and it opened just three days ago. Here is my review:
Lobby & Check In Process
During our initial visit to the hotel, we were unfamiliar with the setup. The establishment boasts a contemporary porte-cochère complemented by valet parking. The lobby is striking, showcasing a modern coastal design. We were greeted with exceptional service at the front desk and experienced no rudeness throughout our stay.
Dining
Oyster River is a seafood restaurant. We took a sneak peek at the establishment, and it was beautifully decorated. The Social also had a very pleasant ambiance. We did not dine at either of the restaurants. The M Club impressed us with its modern finishes and luxurious feel.
Room Design & Conditions
I've booked two rooms, the Standard 2 Queen Room and the Captain's Suite. Both are beautifully adorned with coastal touches and are bathed in light decor. I've noticed an abundance of air freshener in the rooms, but I'm willing to overlook this since the hotel has only been open for 3-4 days.
Pool & Deck Area
The pool area is quite appealing, featuring waterfalls and fountains, along with a pool bar that is proportionate to the property's size. There are chairs available, although the seating space and the pool itself are quite compact.
