St Petersburg Extended Stay: Reviewing the Residence Inn St Petersburg Tierra Verde

If you're searching for a new hotel just 5 minutes from St. Pete Beach and 20 minutes from downtown St. Petersburg, consider the Residence Inn situated on the island of Tierra Verde.

Lobby & Check In Process

The lobby stands out as particularly unique for a Residence Inn, featuring an inviting and cozy design that's ideal for an extended stay hotel. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. Although I didn't have the chance to try the breakfast due to a late arrival, the hotel offers a complimentary buffet and boasts a rather pleasant dining area.

Room Design & Condition

We have stayed in two different room types, a studio and a one-bedroom suite. Both rooms featured a full kitchen, typical of a Residence Inn. Each had a dining area and living room; however, the studio combined these with the sleeping area, while the suite offered a separate bedroom with a door. Both accommodations included a king-sized bed and an attractive bathroom.

Pool Area

The pool area, though compact, is charming and uncrowded, offering a stunning view of the bay. Additionally, guests have access to a neighboring restaurant with a larger pool, allowing Residence Inn guests to enjoy an alternative swimming option. This provides a great choice for relaxing and taking in the scenery.

Parking

Parking at the hotel is straightforward. Unlike the complex valet parking found at some other Residence Inn locations, it offers convenient on-site self-parking adjacent to the hotel.

Rooftop Bar

One of the hotel's standout features is its beautiful rooftop, which offers a stunning view of the marina. This space includes a full bar and ample seating, making it an ideal spot to relax, enjoy a snack, and savor a drink while taking in the picturesque surroundings.

Residence Inn Tierra Verde is a modern and attractive hotel that stands out as an excellent choice for extended stays, family travel, or anyone who appreciates the convenience of a kitchen. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for functionality. The service is exemplary, and the views of the property are exceptional. Although the pool area is modest, the ability to access the neighboring pool offers an added benefit. Furthermore, the hotel's prime location just 10 minutes from Fort De Soto—one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States—adds to its overall appeal.
